Sandye Jacobson Lerner founded The Comprehensive Group in 1975 following a successful career in hospital therapy department management. Well-respected in rehabilitation, Sandye brings clients and therapists together as partners to achieve mutual goals of cost-effective, quality rehabilitation. With more than 35 years of experience, her progressive management style and hands-on quality improvement programs distinguish Sandye as a sound, successful businesswoman and have helped establish Comprehensive as a leading rehabilitation, management, staffing and consultation company.

RICK SPEAS PT MHSA | SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Rick is a PT by background, with a Masters in Healthcare Administration. He has spent the last 25 years in the rehab and healthcare industry across all care settings. Rick's background brings extensive knowledge of healthcare management strategy to the changing healthcare environment.As Senior Vice President, Rick leads the business strategies and clinical operations of The Comprehensive Group.

MARLENE KERSTEIN, MS, OTR/L | SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Marlene Kerstein has been an Occupational Therapist for more than 30 years. She has an extensive background in the administration and clinical management of hospitals and long-term care facilities. Marlene's strength is in understanding our clients' needs and custom tailoring a solution to meet those needs. As Senior Vice President of Operations, she oversees our hospital, home health, staffing and pediatric services lines.

ALAN BROMBERG | CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
As CFO, Al Bromberg focuses on all areas of accounting and financial management. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, an MBA from the University of Illinois Chicago and is a CPA. His previous professional experience includes leadership positions in accounting, financial reporting and analysis and operations at a large insurance company and in public accounting.

BARBARA KABAKER, MS, CCC/SLP | VICE PRESIDENT OF QUALITY ASSURANCE
Barbara Kabaker has extensive experience in supervision and management of therapy services, including: hospital department management, outpatient pediatric therapy and consultation in long-term care. As Vice President of Quality Assurance, Barbara's responsibilities include assuring compliance, creating and enhancing partnerships through reporting of outcomes and value-added services, and supporting clinical program development.

KELLI COMISE, OTR/L | VICE PRESIDENT, CLINICAL TRAINING & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Kelli Comise joined the Comprehensive team as a clinician in 1988. She has experience in management and program development for the geriatric, mentally ill and developmentally disabled populations. Her skills in critical processing and problem solving, plus her common-sense approach exceeds our client's expectations. Kelli provides leadership and direction for Comprehensive's outpatient clinics located within senior living communities.

Joey Jacobson Rosen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development & Family, with a specialization in Gerontology, and a Master of Science Degree in Health Systems Management. Joey joined Comprehensive in 2004, bringing her experience within the long-term care industry as an operations consultant for healthcare clients.

JULIE BRINGAS, PT | VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Julie Bringas has extensive experience in sales and marketing of both tangible healthcare products, and healthcare-related services to hospitals, nursing homes, senior communities and other health professionals. Julie joined The Comprehensive Group in 2009. Her background as a physical therapist gives her a keen understanding of the rehabilitation services market.

DEBORAH CONNERY, LCSW | VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSULTATION
Deborah Connery has served the long term care and senior housing industry for more than 30 years. She received her MSW from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she had the privilege of conducting research for the Illinois Departments of Public Health and Public Aid. Prior to joining The Comprehensive Group in 2001, Deborah served in various capacities, including Long-Term Care Consultant, Executive Director, Resident Services Director, Director of Private Duty, Marketing and Sales Director. She also worked a social worker and social services director in a variety of practice settings. At The Comprehensive Group, Deborah helps clients meet goals related to regulatory compliance, innovative program development, staff management, reimbursement and quality assurance.

Iwona has been with The Comprehensive Group since 2005 and has managed inpatient and outpatient programs in both senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities. Iwona has direct responsibility for the daily oversight of the clinical and financial performance of our senior service locations.
